Our Mission
Through social justice education, trainings and workshops, Civic House prepares students for responsible community engagement and empowers them to become advocates for social change.
Our Values
Social Justice
Utilizing our Social Justice Framework, we focus on uplifting those most impacted by injustice through intentional reflection, dialogue, and practice.
Community-Expressed Need
We center the voices of community members through mutually beneficial partnerships with community-led organizations in Philadelphia.
Relationship- Based Approach
Relationships are at the center of our work. Through building shared trust and respect, we prioritize connection, accountability, and care.
Community Care
Community is not just about who is present. It is about how we are with each other. We believe in a community that values empathy, understanding, and belonging.
Our Team
Civic House is led by a team of staff, graduate assistants, student staff, and a faculty director. Every member of our team centers love, respect, community voice, and reciprocity in our work.
