Meet the Board!

Katy Dirks
Director

Katy is a junior from Tulsa, Oklahoma studying Health and Societies with a concentration in health policy and law! This is Katy’s second year on board and she will be taking the reins as our new student director! During her freshman year, Katy learned a lot about food insecurity and the different organizations tackling that issue on a PAB trip to New York City! Katy loves to talk documentaries, spends most of her time listening to The 1975, and will definitely tell you about her life mission to bungee around the world. She also loves her chihuahua Finn and her favorite person is of course her Mom!!

Michele Anzabi
Communications Coordinator

Michele was born in Northeast Philly but now lives in a nearby suburb called Newtown. As a sophomore, she is interested in being a Health and Societies major concentrating in Bioethics and minoring in Hispanic Studies. This is her first year on PABoard. However, she has been involved with Civic House as a PennCORP student leader. Outside of the classroom, Michele loves listening to Broadway musicals and watching Disney films/Netflix.

Aileen Walsh
Education Coordinator


Aileen is a senior from Philadelphia studying English! Aileen will be taking on the role of education coordinator this year! Aileen went on her first PAB trip to the Appalachia Service Project in West Virginia in spring 2018. She loved it so much she decided to be a site leader for ASP this past spring 2019! Outside of PAB Aileen loves reading, writing, drinking coffee in cafes, and going to concerts!

Sonia Radu
Operations Coordinator

Sonia is a senior from Boston, Massachusetts studying BBB! Sonia will be PAB’s operations coordinator this year! This past winter Sonia traveled to Washington DC where she spent a week as a site leader working with Pilgrimage! Sonia is an avid tennis fan and traveler, and she wants to be a doctor in the future!

Calais Cronin
Travel Coordinator

Calais is a junior from Kinnelon, NJ studying Chemistry with a minor in Hispanic Studies! Calais worked hard this summer as PAB’s travel coordinator. This past spring, Calais was a participant on the PAB trip to West Virginia where she worked with the Appalachia Service Project. Some fun facts about Calais – she was named after a city in France, she loves water-skiing and surfing, and her family lives in six different states!

Amira Chowdhury
Outreach Coordinator

Amira is a sophomore from Los Angeles, California studying Political Science and Urban Studies! Amira will be joining PABoard this year as our outreach coordinator! Amira went on both a winter and spring trip last year to Reading Partners in Baltimore and the Appalachia Service Project! Amira is particularly passionate about education, health, immigration, social welfare, and labor policy. She looks forward to dedicating her life to public service, by engaging in public policy and the legal field.

Amy Krimm
Outreach Deputy

Amy is a freshman from Silver Spring, MD who hasn’t yet decided what she will be studying. This is Amy’s first year being involved with PAB and she is thrilled to be the Outreach Deputy for PABoard! She is also a Program Assistant at Civic House where she works with various Civic House programs such as the Dine and Discuss events. Amy is passionate about issues relating to education equality, inclusion and disability rights advocacy, intersectional feminism, and LGBTQ+ rights. In her free time, she likes to draw, ice skate, write in her journal, and spend time in nature!

Danny Cooper
Board Member at Large

Danny is a junior from South Jersey studying Environmental Science and English! This is Danny’s second year on board and he will be continuing his role as communications coordinator! Danny went to Nashville the winter of his freshman year where he learned about criminal justice reform. This past winter he was a site leader for a PAB trip to Baltimore working with education inequality at Reading Partners. In his free time, Danny loves to listen to pop music, run, bike, hike, garden, and tweet!
