Aquinas Center
The Aquinas Center is a community organization in South Philadelphia with a mission to build unity in diversity, support learning, and inspire thoughtful action.
The Aquinas Center Intern will help with the following: gain a working knowledge of city, state, and national legislation and policy trends that relate to migrants, refugees, asylees, and undocumented immigrants; support programming for local teens, particularly through hands-on learning experiences such as cooking, gardening, creative arts, college access/prep, self-care, and workplace Know Your Rights.
Asian Americans United
Asian Americans United’s mission is to build leadership in Asian American communities to build our neighborhoods and unite against oppression through multi-racial coalitions around quality education, youth leadership, anti-Asian violence, immigrant rights, and folk arts.
AAU Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to AAU programs including our AAU Summer Youth Leadership programming, immigrant advocacy citizenship application project, and annual pan-Asian AAU community building event.
Urban Tree Connection
Urban Tree Connection assists historically marginalized urban communities to revitalize their neighborhoods by transforming abandoned open spaces into safe and functional places that inspire and promote positive human interaction.
UTC Interns will support the communications, marketing and development aspects of our work, which includes grant writing, developing a quarterly newsletter, social media, website, etc.
Bread & Roses Community Fund
Bread & Roses Community Fund is committed to change not charity. Our mission is to move money to movements for social change and give more power to the change makers.
The Civic House Program Intern will help to plan and evaluate workshops and other programming that support community activists.

Broad Street Ministry
Broad Street Ministry (BSM) is a multi-faceted organization that helps Philadelphian living in deep poverty stabilize their lives through a unique offering of meals and trauma informed services that is welcoming to everyone.
BSM’s Intern will assist with our Evaluation Program, a vital annual undertaking which allows us to learn about our guests needs, improve existing programs, and develop new ones to better serve our guests. Interns can also support meals, mail services and the art therapy table.

Lutheran Settlement House
Lutheran Settlement House is a service organization offering a variety of programs to empower individuals and communities across the city of Philadelphia, ranging from a Bilingual Domestic Violence Program, to Adult Education, to Homeless Services to Medical Advocacy.
Civic House Interns will focus primarily on assisting with, and enhancing, our long-standing STAR (Students Talking About Relationships) program. After receiving training, interns will help co-facilitate workshops and community education programs in Philadelphia schools about preventing teen dating violence.

Philadelphia Legal Assistance
Philadelphia Legal Assistance provides free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families in Philadelphia.
PLA’s Civic House Intern will work in the Family Law Unit (FLU) that provides assistance in matters pertaining to child custody, child and spousal support and protection from abuse.
Public Citizens for Children and Youth
Public Citizens for Children and Youth works to improve the lives of our region’s children by developing initiatives and advocating for quality health care, child care, public education and family stability.
PCCY’s Intern will serve as the Policy and Community Outreach Specialist to support our advocacy agenda to improve the lives and life chances of the region’s children. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated undergraduate to build an expertise in education policy and simultaneously learn how to organize and carry out effective advocacy campaigns.

VietLead
Vietlead is a Vietnamese community-based organization that focuses on intergenerational building through leadership development, community engagement, culture & arts, and health promotion work.
The VietLead Intern work with the RICE Program: a youth leadership program that supports high school students working with community organizations and local businesses throughout the city that are attempting to address social problems.
