The Community Engagement Program, alongside Civic House, is dedicated to building and sustaining mutually-beneficial relationships with our Community Partners. Our Partners work with communities all over Philadelphia and cover a diverse groups of issue matters.

Books Through Bars is a volunteer organization that sends reading materials to folks that are incarcerated. Volunteers will read letters from folks that are incarcerated requesting books, search through our library of donated books for a good match, and package the books for mailing. |

Hias Pennsylvania provides legal and supportive services to immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers from all backgrounds in order to assure their fair treatment and full integration into American society. Students will help with employment services, resume building, interview skills, and accompany clients through community integration efforts.

Moder Patshala supports Bangladeshi-American students and their families through education, specifically in helping with students preparation for higher studies. Students will help with tutoring and home-work help (especially higher level science); SAT prep, grant-writing & program planning.

Puentes de Salud promotes the health and wellness of Philadelphia’s rapidly growing Latinx immigrant population through health care, education, and community building initiatives. Students will help the education branch that serves youth ages 3-18 and their families through year-round, out-of-school-time programming. |

MANNA provides meals and social services to vulnerable populations, and works to meet their nutritional needs through prepping and packing meals. |

The Art Dept is a collective-run community space specializing in reclaiming history through vintage objects, art, and public events. Volunteers will work with the ‘Young Artist Program’ for high school aged LGBTQ+ youth, to help with homework, college prep, personal guidance, and art instruction.
